Box sides are glued up

I have got the box sides machines up. The mitre joints are cut and glued together.

I decided to use the Bessey clamp – VAS-23 to clamp the box sides which made life so much easier. I think every workshop should have a couple of these.

The Birds Eye Huon Pine lid came out of the press without any issues. I really love the figure on it.

I was going to use a Northern NSW Red Cedar box sides to give a contrasting color but decided against it. I might use it on the burl myrtle kid instead.

Next step is to put in the trim around the box then rout the lid to match the box.
